Our Story
“Healing doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes, it just takes someone who
listens and knows where to look.”

As all things do, one thing led to another — and that’s how I got here. In 2009, I became a single mom. I was feeling incredibly lost and had no real direction. So, like anyone trying to find their way, I started with what I loved.
At the time, I had an older German Shepherd who was dealing with hip dysplasia. Even in pain, he stayed gentle around my son. But as his soreness increased, so did his protectiveness. I wanted to help him age with dignity and as little pain as possible.
In the summer of 2010, I traveled to Virginia to complete the Canine and Equine Massage Program through Equissage. It made sense — I’ve always been a horse girl, so I took both courses. My goal was simple: help my dog feel better. What I didn’t know at the time was that this choice would lead me into something so much bigger.
After finishing Equissage, I felt called to work with people, too. So in Fall 2010, I enrolled at the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education. I graduated in January 2012 as a Massage Therapist. Even before I became a therapist, my life was physical — farming, lifting, moving, and caring for animals: ducks, chickens, horses, pigs, rabbits, even a cow. I was no stranger to pain.
I started to feel defeated when clients would come back again and again with the same pain, and nothing we did seemed to work long-term. That's when I buried myself in farm work, trying to distract from the frustration.
Then came the day I was standing in the barn, trying to power wash a ceiling, and I couldn't even lift my head. My body was screaming. My back, neck, and legs had had enough. That moment forced me to face the fact that I hadn't been taking care of myself — and I was breaking down.
I knew I couldn't afford to go down the surgery-and-pain-meds path. Not financially. Not emotionally. And especially not if it meant I couldn't pick up my son anymore. That thought alone made the decision for me.
I began to ask: Why couldn’t touch help me, the way I wanted to help others? Wasn’t that the point of massage? I started tapping into the knowledge I already had and shifted my focus to Corrective Bodywork — real, targeted techniques that aim to find and treat the source of pain, not just the symptoms. From that shift, everything changed.
Clients who had suffered for years began to find relief — frozen shoulders, sciatica, nerve pain, weird wrist things, ringing ears, and all the pain that doctors couldn’t explain. So many had been told surgery was their only option. Many of them didn’t need it — they needed someone to really look and listen. That’s what I do now.
